SOP stands for Standard Operating Procedure. A Standard Operating Procedure is a step-by-step guide on how a task or project is completed in a business and how software or program are used in a business.

Can my documents be notarized electronically or over the phone?

Electronically, yes, over the phone, no. In order to notarize your documents virtually, NYS Notary Publics must be able to see you in real-time, using live video such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc. Notarizations over the phone are prohibited.

Can a NYS Notary Public come to where I live and notarize my documents?

Yes, but only if you are in the state of New York. If you are not located in the state of New York, your documents will need to be notarized electronically.

What can you notarize?

I can notarize a variety of documents, but the most popular I usually notarize are Affidavits, Child Support paperwork, Divorce paperwork, permission letters for minors visiting their family members in jail or prison, Power of Attorneys, Business Certificates, Bills of Sale, loan documents, contracts, and insurance documents.
